Sequans 2Q07 update
Revenue for Sequans in 2Q'07 was in the range of $4-5 million. The company crossed a total of 25 customers in this quarter. This excludes the design wins.
Unit wise, it shipped around 63,000 chips for base stations and client devices. Majority of them were for client side. These chips were both for IEEE 802.16-2004(d) and IEEE 802.16e.The company also came up with a second generation chip SQN1130, for mobile WiMAX which is MIMO wave2 ready. It expects this to be the flagship product for mobile WiMAX from the company in the future.
The company has already signed a number of ODMs in Taiwan for SQN1130. These include vendors like Zycel, Quanta and Alphanetworks.
Other major success was the completion of interoparability and testing with various base station vendors which will allow Sequans based solutions to be used by various Teir I carriers.
All the sales were direct in the quarter.
Telsima and Airspan were the major customers during this quarter as well.
