White labeling Mobile Callback

I am surprised to find out that there are no vendors out there offering an off-the-shelf package for mobile callback. Previously confined to clumsy calling cards, the arbitrage is knocking hard at the doors of mobile telephony. And the form it is taking is mobile VoIP and mobile callback. There is a huge opportunity – even though short term – just like the fixed line resellers and callback operators flourished post deregulation in countries driving international calling rates down.

And among the existing mobile callback providers there are none working on white labeling mobile callback.

There is an obvious room for such a player. Most switch makers support callback application at the switch level. What you would need to do is add a softclient to the application that serves as a user interface on the mobile phones. And you would mostly be white labeling the client only in terms of the look and logo. That can’t be hard. There is plenty of white labeling going on in VoIP. Companies like Packet 8 and Deltathree are offering such solutions to service providers worldwide.

These companies have gained experience in managing the back office billing and provisioning, branding, traffic termination etc on behalf of their retail customers that can include retail chains and banks as well as large and small telecom service providers who are looking to save on some capex.

We offer off-the-shelf callback functionality with Talking SIP, our fully integrated Application, Media and Billing Server.

Callback triggers can be initiated via a ring/no answer and ring/answer telephone calls, an SMS message, an e-mail message, a web trigger or via an API to allow third-party applications to integrate into our callback system (e.g. click to call via Outlook).

Lypp.com will eventually provide a better way to do mobile callback. Send an SMS with the number you want to connect to and they'll set up the call...

Today they're doing conference calling by way of instant messaging triggers, but you can certainly do two party calls and they should have SMS as an interface at some point.
