Broadsoft concluded its customer summit a couple of days back. The theme for the conference was “Scaling New Heights”: aspects addressed to grow the market from VoIP services to the mainstream, including scaling operations, sales and marketing, and infrastructure. The company had approximately 670 attendees and 65 partners exhibiting. Attendees represented 150 distinct service providers from about 30 countries.

In terms of features and functionality there was a lot of interest in BroadWorks Anywhere (one of Broadsoft’s FMC applications), the BroadWorks Call Center, and a number of partner applications such as Jamcracker, SimulScribe, and Salesforce.com.

At the summit Broadsoft announced that it had jointly signed up over 100 service provider customers through IBM partnership. New service provider customers announced at the summit include IPLAN (Argentina), Warid Telecom (Pakistan), Etisalat (UAE), and SK Telink (S.Korea).
