Ikanos 3Q07 Update

Ikanos revenues of $27.3 million for 3Q 2007 represented a gain of over 6% compared to last quarter. Gateway equipment chips revenue accounted for 45% of total revenues, with the rest coming from access equipment chips. This quarter Ikanos witnessed solid demand from European and Japanese OEMs that resulted in 45% sequential access port growth during the quarter.

Asia-Pac was the main revenue contributor with revenue share of around 70%. Europe followed with another 18% while the rest came from other regions. Country wise Japan, France and Korea were the major contributors with respective contributions of 56%, 16% and 12% of the quarterly
revenues.

Ikanos announced a few products as well as customers during the period. Prominent being ASUSTeK Computers which integrated Fusiv Vx200 processor into their SL1200 Security gateway and RX3042H Broadband router. Both of these products are designed for SoHo and SME. Ikanos also licensed high-performance GPON PHY technology with Ethernet Layer 2 functionality to Terawave Communications. With Atheros it developed a Fusiv based reference platform integrating VDSL2 with new 802.11n draft 2.0 technology. The platform combines Ikanos’ Fusiv Vx180 with Atheros’ XSPAN 802.11n draft 2.0 solutions.

Besides, Gemtek Technology, ODM from Taiwan started shipping a full featured triple play residential gateway using Ikanos VDSL2 CPE and Fusiv processor silicon and residential gateway software suite. Ikanos also entered into a $1.6 m non-exclusive development and feasibility study agreement with a leading European OEM that supplies solutions to deliver Triple play services.
